Two Men jailed for possessing counterfeit Money

PETALING JAYA, Dec 27 (Bernama) -- A businessman and college student were sentenced to jail by the Magistrate's Court here for being in possession of 46 counterfeit currency notes amounting to RM4,600.

Magistrate Zaki Asyraf Zubir ordered 23-year-old Piong Jia Fei, to serve five months in jail from today, while Tan Mc Jian, 22, to serve two months, from the date of his remand on April 8, after they both pleaded guilty to the charge.

They were charged to be in possession of 46 banknotes worth RM100 each knowing that they were false, and intended to use them at the Finn Cafe Restaurant in Jalan USH 10/1E, Taipan Triangle, Subang Jaya, at 2.10am on Oct 1, 2015.....
