Court fines Firm RM34,600 for failing to pay minimum Wages

PETALING JAYA, Dec 14 (Bernama) -- A cleaning worker supply company was fined RM30,600 by the Magistrate's Court here today for failing to comply with the Minimm Wage Act 2016.

Magistrate Muhammad Azali Ibrahim meted out the punishment to Syarikat Sinar Jernih Sdn Bhd, represented by its director, Ibrahim Desa@Din, 48, after he pleaded guilty on behalf of the company to 17 charges involving 17 workers.
